You can create spreadsheets containing formatted tables and images. In order to create a spreadsheet, you can proceed as follows:
create a spreadsheet in the Spreadsheet app
create a spreadsheet in the Drive app
You can also use a template.
How to create a new spreadsheet in the Spreadsheet app:
To create a new spreadsheet without using a template, click on Spreadsheet app.

Click on a template in New from Template.
Open a template's context menu. Select

The spreadsheet is shown on the unnamed page.
